Title: The Art of Inverse Problems
Samuli Siltanen works as Professor of Industrial Mathematics at University of Helsinki, Finland. His mathematical work focuses on inverse problems in imaging, especially medical applications such as X-ray tomography and electrical impedance tomography. He is also an enthusiastic photographer (Instagram: @samuntiede, @monday_spider) and loves to apply mathematical methods to art. His activities in popular science include the book “Step into the world of mathematics” (Springer 2021) and a YouTube channel (Samun tiedekanava) with over 262 000 views.

Title: Stand-up Mathematics
Matt Parker is a stand-up comedian and ex-teacher (he got out after only four years in the classroom). Matt now makes YouTube videos on Numberphile and his own Stand-up Maths channel which have been watched over 10^8 times. In 2019 Penguin published Matt’s book “Humble Pi: a comedy of maths errors” which became the first #1-best-selling maths book in the UK. Originally from Australia, Matt now lives in England but travels wherever the math takes him.
