BRIDGES PÉCS 2010 WORLD CONFERENCE Mathematical Connections in Art, Music and Science 2010 July 24-28, Pécs City – Hungary, Europe

The Bridges Pécs 2010 was a full blown 4-day conference on Mathematics and its connections to Art, Music, and Science plus an Excursion Day.

The 4-day conference was comprised of a 3-day conference in the international annual series of Bridges Conferences, the Bridges Pécs 2010 Family Day & Math-Art Fair, Movie, Theatre and Music Night, and a 4th day devoted to the work and artistic influence of Hungarian artists and mathematicians – creatively highlighting the vivid heritage of innovators like Janos BOLYAI, Victor VASARELY, Marcel BREUER and others.

The 300 participants of the Bridges Pécs 2010 came from almost 30 countries of the world. The exhibitions and community events were visited by many thousands of people. The Hungarian MathArt scene was represented by such great thinkers like Ernő Rubik, the inventor of Rubik Cube, László Lovász, the Wolf-prize and Kyoto-prize winner mathematician and many other renowned participants.
